RARE PAIR Antique Chinese Multi-Coloured enamels with gilding on Bronze/Copper Cloisonné COCKERELS, LIFE SIZE Sculptures. This listing is for an extraordinary FLAMBOYANT life size MIRROR pair of late 19th – early 20th century Chinese cloisonné, handsome rooster cockerel sculptures with red, white, blue, green, and yellow enamels standing on circular cloisonne bases with a border design. Such a spectacular sight. The details are very lifelike with the shape and size, the details of the scaley skin on the legs and the spurs. The beaks, eyes, combs an wattles all adding to the magnificent detail.. Highlighted with 24k gilding. MEASUREMENTS: Height 16″ x Width 10 1/2″ x Depth 5 1/2. WEIGHT OF ONE: 2.7KG. CONDITION: Excellent antique condition, commensurate with age generally in very good order. The body through to the legs and feet are firmly attached to the circular base with no wobble. There are more recent screws that have been renewed affixing the cockerels to the base. See photo of under base. If you require more information, please do not hesitate to message me.
